Mythic Draconis

The Lands of Mortal Man are besieged by powers from beyond. The Dragon Lord, Bethayal, has mustered to his will demons, the dead, vampires, beast and dragon to exterminate the living.

In a war between the mortal and the divine, one hero must make way to the heart of darkness and put an end to it all, or see the end of times upon his land.

Mythic Draconis is a neo-retro platformer set in the dark fantasy lands of Atrinum, as we follow our hero Victor of Daurenguard in a seemingly impossible task to destroy the Dragon Lord Bethayal.

The game accents both fast paced, action adventure hack and slash game-play, as well as in depth puzzle solving and exploration filled with secrets in every turn.

Traverse from 10 uniquely designed platformer levels in both Story and Arcade Game Modes, each increasing in complexity and difficulty, with 3 main boss encounters and 3 mini boss encounters to test your hero against the forces of darkness in a fully fleshed story of which this is the first chapter.

Control the powers of the elements, collect powerups, and wield sword and shield in attack/defend based combat, and more.

Mythic Draconis sets to recreate the nostalgic 8-bit and 16-bit retro game feel of old, yet with some improved standards to be expected from modern gaming. Its pixel art style harkens back to the early period pixel art games, and strives to immerse the player in a demanding platformer experience filled with secrets, puzzles, and action.

Heavily story driven, the lore of Mythic Draconis is slowly introduced to us in this title throughout the game levels and also the story narration itself, as we enter the gates to a deep and complex world of many adventures to come.

Having an extensive background in Graphical Design, both Digital Art and 3D Modelling and Animation, a set of skills used mostly for client work in many projects for the last 15 years plus some, I set out to develop my own first game and fulfil my first steps to doing my dream job. Game Development.

In this way, I started out with something I could handle, and believed I could deliver on. Being the first title and on no budget, the journey was long and much was learned, yet all was worth it. I am proud to announce Mythic Draconis, the first finished and published title for scioniaROMs, is here. With plans for more to come, this is only the beginning, and we can only go up from here.

After extensive testing I believe the game is ready and finalized, but it is safer to assume that something might have slipped through the cracks rather than assume everything is perfect out of the gate.

Upon purchase of the game you will have access to a rar file including the installer (.exe file), a trouble shoot readme, and a folder for the game manual and box cover art (also usable for for printing purposes)

Double Click on the MYDRom.exe file, select directory for installation, and you are ready.
